DETAIL
The most recent approved Management Plan for El Palmar National Park remains that adopted through National Parks Administration Resolution No. 86/2016. There is no public evidence of a subsequent update incorporating climate change scenarios or a gender, generational and diversity perspective. The National Parks Administration’s Biodiversity Information System only lists the plan approved in 2016 and its associated resolution, with no new resolutions for 2024–2025. The official El Palmar section on the government website provides general information about the protected area but does not publish an updated management plan containing the elements required under the 2025 target.
No information is available demonstrating any progress in this regard, nor is there evidence of political intent to abandon the issue. The assigned category is therefore “No progress”.
