Detail
According to the information provided in response to the information requests submitted, methodological development, testing and operational implementation are under way to expand the Early Warning System to all 23 provinces, which also have deforestation monitoring and early response capacities.
Technical assistance on the Early Warning System was provided to several provinces so that they could use the information generated by the system in land management. The system issues alerts to a total of 20 provinces.
Three provinces currently use the Forest Administration, Control and Verification System (SACVeFor). The assigned category is therefore “Early progress”.
